Happy Together

Wong Kar Wei's Happy Together, starring Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung, remains one of my favorite films. Christopher Doyle's unique over saturated and dynamic cinematography perfectly captured the films longing, regret and sadness.

Anne of Green Gables

Was there any more perfect casting than Megan Follows in Anne of Green Gables? I don't think so. I hope people are still finding this on TV or DVD. Creator Kevin Sullivan NEEDS to release a hi definition Blu ray.

The Normal Heart

Matt Bomer is distractingly gorgeous. I've enjoyed his work in USA's White Collar for years, but it wasn't until HBO's The Normal Heart that his acting outshone his looks. That sounds superficial, but I still thinks it true. Jared Leto, another actor very easy on the eyes, made a big impression with Dallas Buyer's Club last year. I think this is Bomer's year.

Tarsem Singh's The Fall, one of my favorite films. Just gorgeous.

Another Country (1984) Furtive Glances

I still love this film. A young Rupert Everett was the most gorgeous specimen on screen. Matched with an equally hot pre-Princess Bride Cary Elwes. Add in Colin Firth and you have perfection.
